This is What Happy Looks Like

Title: This is What Happy Looks Like
Author: Jennifer E. Smith
Genre: YA/ Contemporary

When teenage movie star Graham Larkin accidentally sends small town girl Ellie O'Neill an email about his pet pig, the two seventeen-year-olds strike up a witty and unforgettable correspondence, discussing everything under the sun, except for their names and backgrounds.
Then Graham finds out that Ellie's Maine home town is the perfect location for his latest film, and he decides to take their relationship from online to in person. But can a star as famous as Graham really start a relationship with an ordinary girl like Ellie? And why does Ellie want to avoid the medias spotlight at all cost?

My Thoughts

This was another good read, but was missing something that made me love The Statistical Probability of Falling in Love at First Sight. Jennifer E. Smith is quickly becoming one of my favorite quick read YA writers. I can go through one of her books in a day, two days tops. Another great job overall. I found Graham to be dreamy and down to earth so I adored him. And I love the dynamic between Ellie and her mom. It was easy to relate to for me. I could just enjoy the journey of the story.

Wonderfully Wicked Read-A-Thon

Okay, so lets outline what I would like to do with this Read-a-Thon.

1. I want to get more involved with the book blogging community. I am always reading what others are reading, but I never seem to comment. I guess my introvert personality carries over to the internet. But I am pledging to comment on every post I read.

2. My list of books!

  • Streaks of Blue by Jack Chaucer
  • Ink by Amanda Sun
  • Ignite by Erica Crouch

That is it for now, but I will be adding to it!

Friday Wish List!

What am I adding to my wish list this week?

Dash and Lily's Book of Dares

I loved Will Grayson, Will Grayson and I loved both authors work. I originally read it because of my love of John Green, but fell in love with David Levithan as well. That being said I have going through the shelves in something that may catch my eye. Dash and Lily's Book of Dares is the one that called out to me. Here is to hoping that I will get a chance to grab it soon.

Have you read it?

The Statistical Probability of Falling in Love at First Sight

Title: The Statistical Probability of Falling in Love at First Sight
Author: Jennifer E. Smith
Genre: YA

Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?
Today should be one of the worst days of 17 year old Hadley Sullivan's life. Having missed her flight, she's stuck at JFK airport and late to her fathers second wedding, which is taking place in London, and involves a soon- to- be stepmother Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airports cramped waiting area. His mane is Oliver, he's British, and he's sitting in her row.
A long night on the plane passes in the blink of an eye, and Hadley and Oliver lose track of each other in the airport chaos upon arrival. Can fate intervene to bring them together once more?

My Thoughts

This is the quickest I have ever related to a character ever. As I am currently on my third step mother I understood instantly the feeling Hadley has regarding her father and his wedding. I have never had a representation so perfect like that before so it was unexpected that it would be presented so perfectly. Now lets talk about Oliver, who before you know is British, is everything I find crush worthy anyway. Accent is the special added bonus and... well I will just leave it at that.
This book was so quick, and I was always grabbing for it when I had a spare moment. I can't wait to read more from Jennifer E. Smith.
