Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it. A mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever (if that's possible) and what's worse, he seems to be spending time with Nora's archenemy, Marcie Millar.

Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadn't been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude, Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feelings that he is hiding something.

If that weren't enough, Nora is haunted by images of her murdered father, and comes to question whether her Nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death. Desperate to figure out what happened, she puts herself in increasingly dangerous situations to get the answer. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything - and everyone - she trusts

My Thoughts: The series gained a half a star! I was not forcing myself to read this time! I am still not a huge fan of this fallen angel story, but I now like it enough to finish the series! This book met my expectation when it came to pacing, and what and ending to this one! I want to know what will happen! I love Vee, the best friend, I know someone exactly like her so I find myself seeing her quite easily. Nora I am still having some trouble with really liking, but I will keep reading for Patch and Vee. And I like Marcie, she is the most real mean girl I have read in awhile  I am hoping the series just gets better with every book, this one held more promise than the first one had.

My Thoughts: Everyone talks about this series, so I had to try it, but what a slow start. I could not get into it until the last five chapters! I was not a fan of Nora, I didn't hate her, but I was not rooting for her in any way. The one character I really like is Patch, I mean come on! But again the story didn't do much for me until the action at the end. Hopefully the next one will be better.

Anyway, for the action at the end, and the mysterious Patch I say Read It!
