On a misty cliffside, mystery and romance await. . . .

Ivy Calhoun's life has been turned upside down. Her new stepdad has uprooted Ivy and her mom, bringing them to live in an actual castle in the misty Scottish countryside. There are stone-faced servants and shadowy corridors, and the ancient walls seem full of secrets. Ivy is at once frightened and intrigued.

Especially when she meets Logan, a gorgeous, elusive ghost who has haunted the castle grounds for decades. Ivy is immediately drawn to him . . . but Logan is not the only spirit around. Something dark and deadly is afoot, and soon Ivy finds herself in mortal danger.

Is Logan exactly what he seems? Could his mysterious past be tied to Ivy's present? And can Ivy stop herself from falling in love with him?

My Thoughts: I liked Ivy, she is an interesting character who is transplanted from everything she knows. I think that she is the most realistic version of a teenager who has lost a parent that I have read in awhile so I felt for her more than those characters that always want you to feel bad for them. Logan is an interesting guy as he has been dead for decades. It was an interesting mystery with some romance. All in all a quick and fun paranormal read.

One issue I did have was the over use of the accenting in characters speech. It is a pet peeve I have, just state they have an accent and write. I will have the inner voice of their accent I don't need you to make it more difficult to know what they are saying.

What I did like was the use of Gaelic, this was not always accented and was translated by the characters as well. That was a nice touch of the culture without making it difficult. This should have been done more.

All in all a fun paranormal story with ghosts and Scottish folklore. Read It!
